Clerk of Court Announces Changes for Child Support Payments

On behalf of the Lexington County Clerk of Court’s Office: The prepaid debit card program that is utilized by residents throughout the state to receive child support payments will end on Dec. 31, 2018.   The Palmetto Automated Child Support System (PACSS) will be replacing the prepaid debit card program throughout the state and in Lexington County, according to officials.  The PACSS system will be implemented in Lexington County on Feb. 4, 2019.

Clerk of Court Lisa Comer urges any residents who currently utilize the prepaid debit cards to receive child support payments in Lexington County to contact the Clerk of Court’s office at (803) 785-8393.  Residents impacted by the change should have received additional information in the mail regarding the program and timeline of changes from the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
