Open: Mon–Sat, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
(No entry after 4:30 p.m.)
(Compost/Mulch pickup: arrive by 4:00 p.m.)

Closed: Sundays & Major Holidays
(New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

RecyclingAsphalt, Concrete, Electronics, Helium Tanks, Metal, Porcelain, Propane Tanks, Refrigeration Units, Tires, White Goods, Yard Debris (clean)
C&D LandfillBoats, Furniture, Mixed Construction Debris, Mobile Homes, Plate/Treated Glass, Shingles, Yard Debris (mixed)
Transfer StationHousehold/Commercial Garbage, Dead Animals, Residential Railroad Ties
Compost FacilityTree Trunks, Leaves, Pinecones, Pine Straw, Untreated Wood, Clean Wood Waste
No plastic bags – use brown paper bags only
Not AcceptedCommercial Railroad Ties, Utility Poles, or materials treated with creosote/pentachlorophenol

Landfill Procedures

  • Check-In at Scale House
    All vehicles must stop and check in at the scale house before entering the landfill.
  • One Vehicle on Scale
    Only one vehicle is permitted on the scale at a time for accurate weighing.
  • Lane Usage
    The right lane is designated for self-serve customers with authorized accounts only.
    Please see the scale attendant for more information about account eligibility.
  • Provide Identification & Load Details
    Be prepared to present a valid ID and clearly describe the contents of your load.
  • Inspection & Direction
    The scale operator may inspect your load and will direct you to the appropriate disposal area.
  • Safety Requirements
    • Safety vests are required while on-site (provided for residents if needed).
    • All helpers must remain in and ride in the same vehicle at all times.

 

Unloading Order (for Mixed Loads)

  1. Pack First / Unload Last: C&D Materials
  2. Pack Middle: Recyclables
  3. Pack Last / Unload First: Household Garbage (MSW)
