Lexington, S.C. — Lexington County Fire Services responded to a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 26 westbound near mile marker 130, near the Sandy Run/ Swansea exit, early Wednesday morning. The call came in around 7 a.m.

Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle fully involved and worked quickly to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported.

As a safety precaution, all westbound lanes were temporarily closed during firefighting operations. The fire is now out, and all lanes have since reopened.
