Murders and Mysteries Irmo Walking Tour

Learn all about the murders, mysteries, duels, and lynchings that occurred along Lexington's Main Street as we take a leisurely walk through Lexington.  The tour begins at 8 pm at the Icehouse Amphitheater. This is a free event and reservations are not needed. Because of the mature subject matter, we ask that attendees be 18 or over or have parental permission. Great Outdoors Day

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Lexington County Museum will host a free outdoor celebration for kids, parents and individuals. This year’s Great Outdoor’s Day theme is “Crafting for Birds and Birding.” This is a Columbia (SC) Audubon Society sponsored event.These crafts for children will include: Making Protective Bird Silhouettes for Home Windows, Building a Simple Bird Feeder and Creating a Cherokee Decorative Shield. The presenters will be: Jeanette Wells, Saluda Shoals Park wildlife interpreter and John Myers, Columbia Audubon Society member and Lexington County Museum interpreter. Registration is required. “It’s All About Herbs” Herb Fest

Friends of the Museum Annual Fundraiser

The Friends of the Lexington County Museum invite you to its annual fundraiser which will be held on April 20, 2024 from 6 pm to 9 pm on the grounds of the Lexington County Museum, located at 231 Fox Street in downtown Lexington. This year’s fundraiser will focus on the newly created strategic plan and the goals set forth by the plan. This gala will help raise funds to make the museum bigger and better. Sponsorships ranging from $150 to $2500 are available and are tax-deductible. The fundraiser will also feature a silent auction. All funds raised go toward the museum’s educational program and the museum’s strategic plan. Sponsorships and tickets for the gala can be purchased here.
