Next Council Meeting
Lexington County administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Plans for commercial development in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County are initially filed with the Community Development Department and then forwarded to Public Works’ Stormwater Section for review.
• All plans submitted must include every item listed on the Checklist for Commercial Development found in the Lexington County Land Development Manual.
• The NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Large & Small Construction Activities (NOI) application must be turned in with commercial plans along with appropriate County and DHEC fees. Plans will not be reviewed until appropriate fees are paid in full.
All plan revisions are submitted in directly to the Stormwater Section.
Once reviewed and approved, Public Works will forward all appropriate applications and fees to DHEC. Work cannot begin on your site until your site is covered under the NPDES General Permit.
When the Lexington County Public Works' Stormwater Division receives notice of coverage under the NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Large & Small Construction Activities, a County Land Disturbance Permit will be issued.
