Next Council Meeting
The Annual Action Plan describes how Lexington County will use its allocation of Community Development Block Grant Program funds and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds in our communities. The Action Plan identifies and describes the projects which have been approved by County Council and must be submitted to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires consolidated planning and reporting of all communities as a condition of receiving federal grants for housing and community development including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). At the end of each fiscal year, CDBG recipient communities across the Country report to their citizens and elected officials how they have utilized their grant funds to improve the community and the lives of the people who live in it. The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) is the HUD-prescribed vehicle for providing that information. The Community Development Department is pleased to report effective performance on meeting project objectives as shown in the above draft report for Program Year 2015. The Community Development Department continues its efforts to be effective stewards of federal funds in the service of its residents.
Lexington County has adopted the following priorities for its Community Development Block Grant Program and Home Investment Partnership Program.
